Tickets are now on sale for Journey Along the Silk Road

Come and enjoy an afternoon of live music with the North Shore Concert Band as they take you on a musical exploration of the Silk Road trading routes.Taking in places such as Greece, Morocco, Hungary, Russia, Turkey, Persia, India, Korea, China, and Japan along the way.

Pieces will include:

• Scheherezade suite for band (Rimsky-Korsakoff)

• Czardas (Vittorio Monti) – featuring Courtney Braunert on alto saxophone

• Music from My Neighbour Totoro (Joe Hisaishi)

• Folk Dances (Shostakovich)

• Variations on a Korean Folk Song (John Barnes Chance)
